Akara Ugo Farms – Mission Statement & Project Proposal

Mission Statement:

Planned for a  64-acre site in Anambra State, Nigeria  Akara Ugo Farms is committed to revolutionizing the country’s meat processing industry by establishing Nigeria’s first major slaughterhouse and meat processing facility. Our mission is to provide premium-quality, halal-certified, and export-grade meat products, ensuring efficiency, hygiene, and sustainability while meeting the growing local and international demand for processed meat.  

Project Goals & Proposal:  

The state-of-the-art facility will feature advanced slaughtering, processing, and packaging systems, ensuring compliance with global food safety standards. Key components of the facility will include:  

- Processing & Packaging Areas: Designed for efficient and hygienic meat handling with separate sections for slaughtering, cutting, deboning, and packaging.  

- Cold Storage & Distribution Hub:Temperature-controlled units ranging from -10°C to 55°C to maintain freshness and extend product shelf life.  

- Wastewater Treatment Plant: To ensure environmental sustainability and compliance with regulatory standards.  

- Feedlot & Livestock Holding Area: Optimizing livestock management to enhance meat quality and supply chain efficiency.  

- Administrative & Quality Control Offices: Dedicated space for management, compliance, and operational oversight.
